What’s Life Like Aboard Zingara?
That’s completely up to you. But it could look something like this…
Zingara calls the British Virgin Islands its home. Zingara presents you with a flexible itinerary customized to your wishes depending on how active or relaxed you would like to be during your charter. Prior to your vacation aboard Zingara, the crew will contact you to introduce themselves and discuss an itinerary, water sports and dive activities and food and beverage preferences. The final itinerary will be based on your vacation preferences, such as quiet secluded anchorages, people watching at island beach bars, dancing the night away to local bands, snorkeling and water sports and fabulous Caribbean lunches and dinners ashore or on the yacht.
We’ll pick you up at Nanny Cay Marina or Village Cay Marina on Tortola at noon and sail over to Norman island for a late lunch. Enjoy an afternoon snorkel at the Caves where it is said that buried treasure was found or snorkel the extraordinarily colorful reef at The Indians. Take on the shotski at the infamous Willie T’s or have a cocktail at Pirates before or after dinner aboard Zingara.
We sail over to Peter Island and enjoy a day at the luxurious Peter Island Resort or anchor in a beautiful clear-water small anchorage called Little Harbor. If you would like to enjoy the amenities of Peter Island Resort, Zingara will be happy to schedule a day at the spa or make romantic dinner reservations for you or feel free to enjoy a lovely beachside lunch at Deadman’s Beach Bar and Grill. Or enjoy the quiet clear blue waters of Little Harbor, a quaint little anchorage where yachts stern tie to rocks, Mediterranean style. The crystal-clear calm waters of Little Harbor allow for water sports, snorkeling or just lounging on floats in the pristine azure-blue water.
We hoist our sails and make our way to the glorious boulders and tide pools of The Baths on Virgin Gorda. Enjoy snorkeling and/or hiking the tide pools of The Baths and then either sail to the North Sound of Virgin Gorda or enjoy some time on land with an island tour provided by an extraordinary local tour guide to several locales including the Copper Mine Ruins, Gorda Peak for a beautiful panoramic picture and Little Dix Resort, one of 1000 places to see before you die. Meet the yacht in North Sound, which offers several bars, resorts, restaurants, and spas such as Saba Rock, Leverick Bay, Biras Creek Resort or the Bitter End Yacht Club. North Sound is also a great location for water sports aboard the yacht or at the Bitter End Yacht Club.
Sail to Anegada, the only coral island in the Virgin Islands. Take a walk on endless white sand beaches or tour the salt pond to see pink flamingos on this quiet low-key island. Enjoy a snorkel at Flash of Beauty or Loblolly Bay or go for an afternoon cocktail at Cow Wreck beach. Anegada is renowned for their grilled lobster dinners provided by several beach restaurants located in the anchorage.
Set sail to Trellis Bay for shopping at Aragorn Studios, featuring local artists and a night of music at the Last Resort on Bellamy Cay. If it’s a full moon enjoy Aragorn’s Full Moon Party complete with music, mocko jumbies and iron sculptured fireballs set ablaze in the waters of Trellis Bay. Marina Cay and Scrub Island are just around the corner if you would like to venture to other resorts and islands.
We sail over to Guana Island and enjoy lunch and snorkeling with an abundance of silversides, large tarpon and turtles as well as countless colorful reef fish. If you enjoy surfing and a North swell is in, you can rent boards and surf at Josiah’s Bay on Tortola with Captain Chad and/or 1st Mate Jacques, both excellent surf instructors. We will leave Guana Island and sail to Cane Garden Bay on Tortola to enjoy beach, bars and restaurants or if seclusion is what you are seeking, we can sail over to Brewers Bay on Tortola for a quiet afternoon in a dramatic anchorage with lovely villas on the mountains surrounding the anchorage.
Sail from Tortola to Jost Van Dyke to enjoy White Bay’s, beautiful white sand beach and the Soggy Dollar Bar, home of the Painkiller. We’ll anchor at Great Harbor for a night of dancing and debauchery at the famous Foxy’s Restaurant and Bar.
We sail from Jost Van Dyke back to Nanny Cay or Village Cay for your noon departure. It might be time for your final cocktail at the marina bar or a last bit of shopping. Day 8 will come sooner than you think and you won’t want to leave Zingara.
